ABFRL details a robust sustainability governance structure with the Board of Directors, the Risk Management and Sustainability Committee (“RMSC”), the Chief Sustainability Officer, and Format-level teams overseeing climate-related risks. For example, its RMSC “is entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring and reviewing the risk management plan, sustainability, and other such functions” and governance is “the foundation for ABFRL’s framework for overseeing climate-related issues.” However, we found no evidence of any governance process for lobbying activities: the disclosures do not reference direct or indirect lobbying alignment mechanisms, oversight of trade associations, or any individual or committee responsible for reviewing or approving lobbying positions or activities.
