Among the government's industrial policies over the past five years, the main climate-related policies have been 'Coal phase-out' and 'Transition to a hydrogen society'. To engage in this policy, Hyundai Rotem Eco-Plant Business division withdrew from its main business, coal handling system for coal-fired power plant. Instead, the division succeeded in converting its business portfolio by successfully commercializing the hydrogen infrastructure through the new business discovery strategy. In addition, the government of the Republic of Korea has announced an active investment plans for hydrogen infrastructure, such as a 'hydrogen economy roadmap', and Hyundai rotem Eco-plant division has won several hydrogen infrastructure-related demonstration projects to conduct R&D in line with government policies. Furthermore, Hyundai Rotem is developing a mobile hydrogen refueling station that combines vehicles and hydrogen refueling station with Hyundai Motor Company to provide a new type of hydrogen charging infrastructure.
