With regards to the policy "Identify and manage the risks and opportunities associated with climate change, in terms of impact on our Group as well as the impact on the homes and communities we build, including flooding and overheating†, sitting on several working groups has ensured that Vistry is kept abreast of all developments, with the opportunity to engage and raise questions to Government relating to the legislation. Our Head of Technical Innovation sits on the Future Homes Hub working group. The FHH's aim is to develop a long-term delivery plan for the sector in line with the Government's legally binding net zero and wider environmental targets. We also have representatives on the HBF working group, Building Futures group, and NHBC forums.

Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your external engagement activities are consistent with your climate commitments and/or climate transition plan?[…]Members of our Technical Innovation team sit on several working groups with the Future Homes Hub to ensure that Vistry's voice is heard during the Future Homes Standard consultation, as we transition along our Net Zero pathway. We have made contributions that appeared in the Future Homes Hub Ready for Zero: Evidence to inform the 2025 Future Homes Standard – Task Group Report. This work also gave us insight into the five contender specifications that are being considered for the Future Homes Standard, assessing the practicalities from a volume housebuilder's point of view, and look respond to the viability through various lenses. This report is aimed at helping the Department of Levelling Up Housing and Communities (DLUHC) understand how the Future Homes Standard can be delivered by the housebuilding industry, suppliers, infrastructure bodies and more. We will be responding to the consultation from government when it is released. We also have representatives on HBF working groups, Building Futures group, and NHBC forums. We are also members of of the UK Green Building Council which is a membership-led industry network radically transforming the sustainability of the built environment. They represent the unified voice of the industry and working together with them to deliver a just transition across the sector, in response to the climate and nature crises.
