Our Chairman and Representative Director and President and Representative Director (CEO) serve on the Board of Directors of the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), our President serves as the Chairman of the Motorcycle Committee, and one of our Executive Officers (Chairman of the Environment Committee) is a member of the Environmental Technology & Policy Committee. In addition, in-house experts in charge of various issues participate in the monthly meetings of the JAMA's "Environment Committee," "Global Warming Countermeasures Study Group," "Plant Environment Subcommittee," and "Recycling & Waste Reduction Subcommittee," thereby contributing to the promotion of JAMA activities.
Participation in the JAMA allows us to be involved in the formulation of various environmental policies, including those related to global warming countermeasures. As our Chairman and Representative Director and President and Representative Director (CEO) serve on the board of directors of the JAMA, they are able to discuss our response to environmental policies decided by the JAMA at the Sustainability Committee, which discusses company-wide risks, including climate change issues, and implement them as members of the JAMA, thereby promote our own global warming countermeasures.
