To promote sustainable management, HYUNDAI WIA has established advanced ESG compliances, and the Transparency Management Committee under the BOD is currently managing and supervising ESG management agendas transparently. We have expanded the ESG management system to enable top management and company-wide organizations to make effective ESG-centered decisions. We operate a company-wide consultation process for major ESG decisions by conducting semi-annual working consultations led by the Business Planning and Management Team, a general ESG team under the Planning Sub-Division. The Transparency Management Committee under the executives and BOD deliberates on ESG management-related issues and reviews and supervises performance. Moving forward, HYUNDAI WIA aims to internalize and enhance the company's sustainability management system through seamless collaboration among all relevant teams and proactive engagement from management.

Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]Following the group-wide RE100 campaign of the Hyundai Motor group to achieve Net Zero by 2050, Hyundai Wia declared RE100. Hyundai Wia set targets of reducing emissions by 25% for domestic sites and 94% for overseas sites by 2030, and reaching net-zero emissions by 2050 for both domestic and overseas sites. In addition to RE100 declaration, we plan to declare 2050 Net Zero. The 2050 Net Zero is also promoted at a group level. We recognized the goal as a crucial objective of the company-wide environmental strategy, and are building an implementation strategy and roadmap to reach the goal.
In tandem with the enterprise-wide environmental strategic goals, Hyundai Wia maintains consistency between all of its agenda items related to environment, energy and GHGs including engagement activities and comprehensive climate change strategies through discussion. The HSE Management Committee chaired by the chairperson of the committee supports the establishment of the company-wide action plans for climate change issues and decision-making related to GHG reduction targets and investment. The committee is convened at least once a month for periodic monitoring, direction setting and reporting regarding climate change issues. After identification and assessment, decisions on insignificant issues are made by the committee's chairperson who reports critical issues to the CEO and Board of Directors. The CEO is the head of the environment and safety organizations and systems for GHG and energy and has the overall responsibility for and oversees the climate change response-related matters while executing major decision making on climate change issues. Based on the identification of climate change issues and response process specified above, we incorporate the corporate vision, internal policy and regulations to facilitate the consistency of the engagement activities and climate change strategies.
