Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]Downer is a member of a broad range of industry associations reflecting the diversity of our business. These industry associations keep us informed on major industry issues and therefore deliver value. Downer does not support every position taken by every association. We make our own decisions based on what's best for the company and its stakeholders. As a member of an association we can influence policies by, for example, communicating our policies on sustainability and climate change. In the FY21 year, we were aligned with all major industry associations that had disclosed their climate policies.

Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your external engagement activities are consistent with your climate commitments and/or climate transition plan?[…]The corporate sustainability team reviews upcoming proposals for changes in legislation and provides feedback either directly to the regulatory body proposing the changes or to industry bodies in which we are members e.g. The Business Council of Australia.
