Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]Our Climate Change Strategy is guided by Redefine's ESG Strategic Framework, which is aimed at setting high-level goals for incorporating ESG into the company's investment processes, day to day operations and stakeholder relationships.
The objectives of the strategy are to:
• Ensure that sustainability forms an integral part of our day to day business operations and decision-making processes throughout the life cycle of our properties
• Pursue opportunities to solve societal challenges through business innovation and collaboration
• Promote the creation for sustainability partnerships, not only within our value chain bit also within the real estate industry and with the public sector
The priorities reflect the fact that real estate assets are a long-term asset class, and the impact of environmental and social factors is based on the location of the building concerned.
We have set of company-wide targets for the primary and secondary UN SDGs and implemented a KPA monitoring framework, which explicitly includes short- and medium-term KPAs for primary and secondary SDGs. Where feasible, they have been associated with measurable performance targets. Our Board and Management ESG responsibility framework sets outs areas of responsibility for the Board, Executive Committee, Management Committee, relevant departments and internal committees to drive the attainment of our ESG goals and targets and monitor sustainability performance.
Climate action has been established as our primary SDG, with associated KPAs and therefore, all engagement activities that we undertake around climate change are guided by our ESG Framework.
