An understanding of and commitment to challenges such as climate change and the use of natural resources are of particular importance to SkiStar. Responsibility is thus important both at Group level and at the destinations. Responsibility for sustainability-related issues is ultimately held by SkiStar's Board of Directors. SkiStar's Board approves all of SkiStar's policies annually. Reporting of SkiStar's sustainability goals to SkiStar's Board takes place twice a year. SkiStar's CEO bears overall responsibility for evaluating and managing sustainability issues, including climaterelated issues, which are well integrated in SkiStar's operations. Operational responsibility for sustainability and climate-related issues at Group level is led by the Sustainability Manager, who during the financial year reported to the Communications and Sustainability Director[1)], a member of Group Management. The Sustainability Manager is responsible for defining, proposing and supporting implementation and communicates decisions made in connection with the sustainability strategy and established goals. Planning, management and monitoring of sustainability initiatives follow the organisational structure with a clear delegation of responsibilities and powers. This consists of policies, directives, procedures and overall goals. Furthermore, our work is governed by laws, guidelines and regulations, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals. **Sustainability forum** SkiStar has a dedicated Sustainability Forum, chaired by the CEO, with the Sustainability Manager as secretary. In addition to the CEO and Sustainability Manager, the forum consists of representatives from the core business: the Communications and Sustainability Director, Property Development Director, HR Director and CEO of SkiStar Norge AS. Two members were added to the forum during the year: the Business Development Manager and the SkiStarshop Manager. The forum meets regularly to discuss the Company's development, and ensure compliance with policies and guidelines and achievement of established goals. 1) Reporting from 1 September 2023 will be directed to the CFO.

Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]SkiStar activities and engagement with different stakeholders regarding sustainability in cooperation with the Head of Sustainable. This ensures the activities are in line with the strategy. SkiStar works closely with their different suppliers, and suppliers must comply with the Group's Code of Conduct for Suppliers, that specify the requirements for environmental standards. Accepted suppliers must then pass SkiStars risk assessment process. To ensure all employees act according to our environmental approach and strategy, we have our environmental policy that is based on the principles of the UN Global Compact including the precautionary principle. We also have online training and yearly discussions with all leaders at SkiStars regarding sustainability and our climate-related issues. SkiStar follows-up on its environmental performance with KPIs to ensure that the goals set in our strategy is reached. SkiStar's performance and KPIs are communicated in our annual report. This ensures that activities carried out across the organisation are consistent with our overall strategy. SkiStars together with the industry association (SLAO) has developed a roadmap for fossil-free Sweden (Fossilfritt Sverige). The industry together with SkiStar will be fossil-free in scope 1 and 2 by 2027, which requires a change. A large part of the transformation to a low-carbon industry depends on use of renewable electricity. Snow production requires a large amount of electricity when snow is produced. Although technology has evolved and today the industry uses much less electricity than 10 years ago, it still requires major electricity consumption. The cost of electricity has a major impact on Skistar's and the industry's costs. This means that the industry is dependent on the electricity companies' pricing. The pricing is based on demand and supply. Since snow production requires so much energy, the ski industry is pushing up price when snow production is occurs.
