Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]To ensure there is a consistency between Atresmedia activities with its overall climate change strategy, Atresmedia has put the following processes in place:
• An Environmental Management Policy that sets the path to control the impact of its activity on the environment, The environmental policy includes the followeing commitment: "Atresmedia is committed to the fight against climate change, which is why we are working to reduce the generation of greenhouse gas emissions through the use of renewable energy and by establishing targets that allow us to measure,monitor and report our carbon footprint. In addition, we have implemented voluntary measures to identify, manage and reduce emissions of other polluting gases"
• A Net Zero strategy to be implemented in 2022 and 2023 aligned with the SBTi and the Paris Agreement
• A Corporate Responsibility (CSR) Committee that ensures the success of the policy objectives and the integration of sustainability within all the strategic lines and that monitor the implementation of the climate change strategy.
• A fluent and permanent communication and interaction among the different areas involved in the design, implementation and monitoring of environmental projects, including setting of emission-reduction targets. The Corporate Responsibility department, the Acquisition department, the Operations Management department, the General Services department and the Content deparment and the Finance department work together to fulfil this aim.
• Providing training and awareness on climate change to employees so to ensure everyone in the Company is aligned. In 2021 it was planned to increase the training on climate change to employees, as well as the number of internal awareness initiatives, but due to the COVID crisis and the teleworking of most part of Atresmedia staff, none of these measures took place and they were postponed to 2022
