Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]Climate Change policy and strategy are defined at corporate level and spread across the two country of operations and all business units. Formally in the TIM Group Environmental Policy, Telecom Italia Group wants to formally establish its commitment to minimising the environmental footprint of its activities, setting concrete objectives shared by the entire Group.
Therefore the approach is common within the whole Group. Coordination on public positions vis-à-vis company's stakeholders and in particular policy makers is guaranteed by the internal Public Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Institutional Communication Departments. Actions aimed at policy makers, at both national and international level, are under the responsibility of the Public and Regulatory Affairs Depts and are developed in close cooperation with the executive managers of the areas involved, such as the Head of Sustainability and the Head of Real Estate since energy management and procurement, building and mobility activities lie under the responsibilities of the Head of Real Estate.
Those actions may be coordinated, when deemed appropriate, with national and international trade associations such as Confindustria (the main organisation representing Italian manufacturing and services companies), ETNO (European Telecommunications Network Operators' Association), GSMA and GeSI (Enabling Digital Sustainability) in particular.
