Responses to identified risks and future considerations are approval and decided by Fujikura Group Global Environment committee the chairperson of the committee by the Managing Director in charge of the environment. Along with reporting on the results of action plans set out in CSR priority measures, Fujikura Group Global Environment committee shares information, considers and approval response plans, and reports to the Sustainability strategy Meeting. In addition, environmental data such as electricity usage, water, and disposal from each Fujikura Group site is entered, evaluated, and analyzed, and Fujikura Group Global Environment committee confirms results and reviews plans twice a year.

Fujikura belongs to the Japan Electric Wire & manufacturing business (administered by the Non-Ferrous Metals Division of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), an industry group for Japanese electric wire manufacturers. The association is working on a \"Voluntary Action Plan for Environmental Conservation\" to contribute to the achievement of the \"Action Plan for a Low Carbon Society\" set forth by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Japan Business Federation. We have organization an environmental subject matter committee to address environmental issues specific to the electric wire industry, such as climate change countermeasures and disposal reduction. As for climate change countermeasures, we have set the reduction of energy consumption mainly related to manufacturing metal cables and optical cables, and have set mid- to long-term targets, such as targets for 2030, which are incorporated into the environmental goals of each company. Additionally, we are working to promote the recycling of industrial disposal in order to create a recycling-oriented society. In addition to the above goals, Fujikura Group 's strategy include joining RE100, declaring its support for TCFD, and obtaining SBT certification. To share these goals and activities, we are implementing them at Fujikura Group Global Environment committee, which is attended by representatives from all business units and major sites. We are checking consistency with the activities of each unit and advancing climate change countermeasures, including making changes to plans as necessary.

Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your external engagement activities are consistent with your climate commitments and/or climate transition plan?[…]外部組織と協働活動を開始するにあたり、担当部署が共同活動内容の精査を行い、自社における気候への取組や計画に矛盾しないことを確認します。その後、CTOが管轄し、サステナビリティ部門、生産技術部門、EHS部門、経営企画部門が参加しているGXプロジェクトにて、更なる内容の確認を行います。最終的にはサステナビリティ戦略会議の中で議論し、政策やエンゲージメントの内容がフジクラグループの方針と一致するように働きかけを行っているほか、グループの戦略が外部ステークホルダーからの期待と一致しているかどうかのモニタリングを定期的に行っています。
