Interpump Group S.p.A. centralises its sustainability oversight at the board level, as “Strategic leadership of the Interpump Group on Corporate Social Responsibility matters is entrusted to the Board of Directors” and on 29 October 2020 the Board “assigned to the Control, Risks and Sustainability Committee the task of supporting the considerations and decisions of the Board with appropriate analysis and proposals regarding the ‘sustainability’ strategy of the Company.” The CCRS likewise “has the task of supporting, with appropriate analysis, the assessments and decisions of the Board of Directors relating to its control and risk mapping activities as well as issues relating to Environmental, Social e Governance (‘ESG’) policies.” However, the company does not disclose any governance process for lobbying activities, including how it manages direct or indirect lobbying or aligns any external policy engagement with its sustainability strategy. We found no evidence of oversight of climate-related lobbying initiatives or any mechanisms for reviewing, monitoring, or enforcing alignment of its advocacy or trade association memberships with its ESG objectives.
