Lobbying Governance
Overall Assessment | Analysis | Score |

Advantech has implemented a moderate governance process to align its climate-related indirect lobbying via trade associations, with its ESG Office responsible for "screening and identifying public associations or non-profit organizations that align with the principles of sustainability and support the goals and spirit of the Paris Agreement" and formally "reporting to senior executives responsible for sustainability issues". It defines a "review and monitoring process ... whenever new associations are joined" and commits that it "will cease supporting and engaging in any form of association or involvement if it is discovered that ... are inconsistent with our stance on climate change" or else issue public statements and enforce "clear timelines and an escalation process if unsuccessful". Oversight resides with the Sustainability Committee's leadership—including the "CEO, Chairperson, President, and/or senior executives"—providing accountability for indirect lobbying, but the company does not disclose any equivalent governance or review mechanism for its direct lobbying activities, nor does it publish an external report or board-level sign-off process for climate lobbying alignment.
