Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]We have created a Science Based Target (SBT) for Scope 1 and 2 and are in the process of finalising our Scope 3 target. Our Scope 1 and 2 SBT is in line with the Paris Agreement to limit climate warming by 1.5 degrees by 2050, resulting in a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030. We therefore ensure that all engagement activities are aligned with this to ensure we stay on track to achieve our SBT.
We are also a Gold Member of the Sustainability Supply Chain School (SSCS) which ensures our engagement activities are in line with sustainability best practices in the industry.
In FY22, we have also engaged with trade associations on the drive towards net zero across the industry. Our CEO sits on the net zero Board of the Hire Association Europe (HAE) . Hire Association Europe is the industry leading trade association for the plant, tool and equipment hire sector with membership representing businesses from new start-ups to some of Europe's largest hire companies. Sitting on the net zero Board holds us accountable for reducing our emissions, achieving our SBT and ensuring our engagement activities are aligned to 1.5degrees. Our CEO is also a council member for the Construction Plant Association (CPA).
