On 1 December 2021, the Company has established the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Committee that directly answers to the Board of Directors for the implementation of the sustainable duties and functions.

EMTEK's commitment to realize its sustainability program was shown by establishing the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Committee. This Committee which is directly responsible to the President Director is led by Ms. Titi Maria Rusli who also serves as one of the Company's Board of Directors and is assisted by Ms. Sutiana Ali and Mr. Olle Wennerdahl as the members. This Committee is responsible for the EMTEK Group's sustainability policy and direction. EMTEK's sustainable business commitment is outlined in the Policy of Guidelines on Implementation of Sustainable Development and Social Responsibilities that had been signed by all members of EMTEK's Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors on 1 December 2021 and available on the Company's website (www.emtek.co.id). [...] The implementation of sustainable business is our major concern and has become guidelines for every business policy and strategy in EMTEK. Through this approach, we expect to add values by creating positive perceptions of our stakeholders, which in turn we expect to gain support from all stakeholders so as to generate business growth. [...] As manifestation of EMTEK's commitment to implementing sustainable business and as a response to the provisions of the Financial Services Authority Regulation No. 51/POJK.03/2017 concerning the Implementation of Sustainable Finance for Financial Services Institutions, Issuers, and Public Companies, the Company has established Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Committee as a task force responsible for EMTEK's governance and sustainability strategy. Furthermore, EMTEK expects to be able to make a real contribution to the Government's program, namely Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in order to improve the quality of life of many people and protect the natural resources and their ecosystems. [...] The ESG Committee reports and communicates to the Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors on a regular basis in: i) Board of Commissioners meetings (six meetings during 2022); ii) electronic mail to the Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors; iii) Group chat of the Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors of the Company; regarding developments, requests for approval, performance and achievement of aspects that have been and/or will be carried out by the Company. The Company also communicates through press releases, website (www.emtek.co.id), Linkedin social media of the Company regarding the latest ESG developments of the Company.

As part of our commitment to strengthening the implementation of corporate governance, EMTEK in 2023 has conducted various trainings. Among others, 'The ESG Awareness Session - Turning Compliance into Strategic Move!' training on 21 June 2023, 'Enable Business Agility with Anti-Corruption & Anti-Bribery Practices' training on 8 May 2023, and training on Principles and Guidelines of Enterprise Risk Management on 4 December 2023. These three trainings were attended by the Board of Directors, Board of Commissioners, and Business Unit & Division Heads of EMTEK Group. [...] In addition, within EMTEK Holding itself, training on 'Understanding of ISO 37001:2016: Anti-Bribery Management System' and 'Personal Data Protection' were held on 19 September 2023 and attended by all Directors and employees in a way to enhance awareness of anti-corruption and anti-bribery practices and how to overcome the challenges of the importance of increasingly complex data security. [...] On 30 August 2023, EMTEK instituted the Risk Oversight Committee under the Board of Commissioners. Comprising a chairwoman and 2 members selected from independent commissioners, this committee plays a crucial role in oversight over the company's risk management application.
