Air Canada engages within an ecosystem consisting of airlines, airports, fuel suppliers, technology providers, feedstock producers, aerospace manufacturers, academia, finance, and government.
Examples include but are not limited to:
Policy Makers: Air Canada is engaged with Transport Canada through the Aviation & Noise Environmental Committee in the development of ICAO and CORSIA policies.
Trade Associations: Air Canada is engaged with various trade associations such as the National Airline Council of Canada (NACC), International Air Transport Association (IATA), Airlines for America (A4A) as well as the Air Transport Action Group (ATAG). Through the associations as are engaged in providing input in the development of policy related to aircraft emissions and sustainable aviation fuel.
Funding: Air Canada pays annual membership to the NACC, A4A, IATA as well as the Aviation Climate Taskforce (ACT)formed to tackle the challenge of rising CO2 emissions from commercial aviation.
