Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]Peab's business areas engage directly and indirectly with policy-makers and trade associations to influence policies, laws and regulations which is consistent with our climate strategy of becoming climate neutral in 2045. In 2021, the Board discussed and approved the new organisational setup with a delegated responsibility for sustainability within Peab. The environmental manager´s mandate in Peab was strengthened which is in line with the increased focus on environmental issues within the company. In addition, an internal project called Klimatklövern (the climate clover) was decided upon as a way to inform and communicate our progress to employees, customers and other stakeholders and the project will be communicated in 2022. A communication plan and a decision to be part of active lobbying for the environment were also decided upon by the board in 2021.
In addition, to ensure that all employees act to our environmental approach and strategy, we have our environmental policy which is integrated into Peab's Code of Conduct based on the UN Global Compact including the precautionary approach. Employees also get specific environmental training, adapted to their roles and responsibilities. Further, Peab also ensures that engagements are aligned with our Group environmental and climate targets, as well as our overall environmental management system.
