Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]Employee engagement is key to ensure all employees who may be engaging externally are aware of our climate related strategy and commitments and how these are aligned to the goals of the Paris Agreement.
Our internal "Purpose Team† have delivered global education campaigns on our Climate Positive commitment, releasing videos, holding an internal virtual conference to reach a global audience during 2021.
Our management teams around the world have all received training on Our Commitment, including on decarbonisation and our climate strategy.
We have taken a leadership position on decarbonisation within our industry, as only the third major chemical company to have a 1.5°C Science Based target approved, therefore engagement which supports alignment with the goals of the Paris Agreement makes sense for Croda, as well as meeting the needs of our stakeholders, particularly customers and investors. A lot of our external engagement, particularly with trade associations, is all around encouraging other businesses to commit to the same level of ambition, aligned with the goals of the Paris Agreement. We are engaging and influencing to put forward the case for the correct level of support and infrastructure to support decarbonisation of our recognised as hard-to-abate industry
All employees are bound by our Code of ethics when conducting external engagement activities.
