_Edwards is a member of multiple industry trade associations including AdvaMed and MedTech Europe. Edwards has designated representatives that actively_ _participate on topic-specific working teams within the association to ensure that the Corporation's positions, including those around climate, are represented._ _Edwards' representatives on these teams are appointed by senior management include subject matter experts and strategy leads from our Environment, Health and_ _Safety (EHS), Corporate Impact, Product Stewardship, Government Affairs, and Legal teams._

**Political and Lobbying Expenditures** The public policies of the countries in which we operate impact our ability to help patients. We are active in the policy-making process through regular and constructive engagement with government officials, policymakers and stakeholder groups. The goal of Edwards' policy and political process engagement is to advance sound public policy in areas related to patient-focused medical innovations for structural heart disease to improve patient outcomes and enhance lives. In the United States, the Edwards Lifesciences Political Action Committee (Edwards PAC) operates in alignment with the values expressed in our Credo and strives to drive opportunities for Edwards to be a trusted partner in creating a community unified to help patients in need. The Edwards PAC is a separate legal entity from the company; it is sponsored by Edwards and funded through employee contributions. Contributions to the Edwards PAC are strictly voluntary. At Edwards, we are committed to transparency in our political activities. We disclose our political activities to the appropriate state and federal government agencies in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. ## Oversight
The Edwards Government Affairs function has authority over the company's political activities and spending decisions. The Head of Global Government Affairs, Dirksen Lehman, is responsible for reviewing and certifying that Edwards' activities are compliant with our political disclosure policy.
The Edwards Global Internal Audit function reviews on a periodic basis compliance of Edwards activities with its policies. Internal Audit provides the Edwards Audit Committee of the Board of Directors with reports when activities fall out of compliance with these policies.
Edwards reviews political activities with the Corporation's Board of Directors on a periodic basis. Since 2016, the Board's Compensation and Governance Committee has reviewed Edwards' political activities to ensure compliance with its policies for political transparency. This includes review and approval of:
1. The company's policy on political expenditures; 2. Political expenditures made with corporate funds; and 3. Payments to trade associations and other tax-exempt organizations that may be used for political purposes.

AdvaMed's membership has reached over 400 members and more than 80 employees with a global presence in countries including Europe, India, China, Brazil, and Japan. AdvaMed promotes competitive policies that foster the highest ethical standards, rapid product approvals, appropriate reimbursement, and access to international markets. Advamed's mission is to achieve healthier lives and healthier economies around the world, consistent with Edwards overall Sustainability strategy. In alignment with this approach, Edwards ensures its interests, including those related to environment, health, safety and climate, are represented through Advamed.
