Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]Vidrala Group only engages with those that support climate science and the Paris Agreement. The Group does not support and engage with anyone who openly disagrees with or discredits climate science. Our engagement is widely collaborative and solutions orientated, with an aim for bringing about long-term change across our industry.

In 2021, our SBT was submitted and was approved in 2022. In 2022, we plan to develop a long-term net zero target to show our commitment to decarbonisation. To ensure our engagement activities are consistent with our overall climate change strategy, we identify the influence that our engagement may have and evaluate whether there are any risks and opportunities that may arise as a result of the engagement. We ensure that who we are engaging with has a climate change strategy consistent, or superior to our own. We will then disclose our engagement and report any outcomes of the engagement to encourage full transparency.

We continue to formalise this process to ensure our engagement activities are consistent with our overall climate change strategy and drive towards sustainable decarbonisation of the glass industry.
