Environmental team develops engagement plans and reports them to the top management, ESG Committee and the Board of Directors. And agendas that have been discussed and approved by the Committee and the Board of Directors are implemented as part of Environmental team's engagement activities. Also, top management group, the Committee and the Board of Directors are kept informed of the result of engagement activities.

Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your external engagement activities are consistent with your climate commitments and/or climate transition plan?[…]Engagement activities that directly or indirectly affect the company's climate change-related policies, laws and regulations are response to the emissions trading scheme and are conducted by the Partner Relations Team of the Corporate Strategy Office. Departments in charge of the environment in each four business groups are calculating group-specific emissions and response to the emissions trading scheme is underway based on emissions calculated. C&T is selecting a third-party verification company, managing the schedule for responding to the emissions trading scheme and monitoring laws and institutional trends. In addition, based on Net-zero plan approved at the ESG Committee, Corporate Management Team from Corporate Strategy Office is monitoring activities to respond to climate change such as reduction efforts in each business group, etc. In 2022, the Samsung C&T 2050 Carbon Net Zero Plan was publicly disclosed through a resolution by the board of directors, and this plan is align with the 2050 net zero roadmap of the Korean government.
