La SGR gestisce i principali effetti negativi delle proprie decisioni di investimento sui fattori di sostenibilità attraverso la costante applicazione delle politiche e delle linee guida definite in materia di investimento responsabile. A questo scopo sono state adottate: - la Politica di Investimento Responsabile, che descrive i principi per l'integrazione dei rischi di sostenibilità nei processi decisionali relativi agli investimenti della SGR (ossia riferibili ai portafogli da essa gestiti). Tale Politica definisce, inoltre, i criteri di esclusione da adottare nei processi di investimento. La responsabilità dell'attuazione è demandata alla funzione Business Development/ESG. In particolare, nel corso del 2023 sono stati apportati i seguenti aggiornamenti riguardanti: l'inserimento di una rappresentazione delle strategie SRI/ESG, suddividendo tra quelle rilevanti per tutti i portafogli e quelle addizionali per i fondi comuni d'investimento art. 8; l'inserimento di un paragrafo sulla considerazione dei PAI all'interno del capitolo sull'integrazione dei fattori di sostenibilità negli investimenti; l'ampliamento della descrizione delle attività di monitoraggio della SGR e delle forme di disclosure/reporting esterno redatte. Documento la cui versione più recente è stata approvata il 30 Ottobre 2023 dal Consiglio di Amministrazione di BancoPosta Fondi SGR. - la Linea Guida per l'investimento in settori sensibili, che identifica i settori o gli ambiti di attività che sono caratterizzati da un rischio ESG intrinseco rilevante con potenziali ricadute negative significative sull'ambiente e la società. La SGR ha deciso di disciplinare con appositi criteri gli investimenti in emittenti che sono coinvolti nei seguenti ambiti: combustibili fossili, carbone, test su animali e violazioni dei diritti umani. La Linea Guida fissa quindi specifici criteri di monitoraggio e gestione di tali settori sensibili e degli impatti negativi ad essi correlati. La responsabilità dell'attuazione è demandata alla funzione Business Development/ESG. Documento da ultimo modificato il 31/01/2023 dal Consiglio di Amministrazione di BancoPosta Fondi SGR. - la Linea Guida in materia di esercizio del diritto di voto ed attività di engagement, che definisce le procedure per la gestione delle tematiche ESG rilevanti attraverso un dialogo con gli emittenti dei titoli presenti nei portafogli finanziari al fine di contribuire alla mitigazione delle esternalità negative, in coerenza con la Politica di Investimento Responsabile e la Linea Guida per l'investimento in settori sensibili. Attraverso tale Linea Guida, la SGR definisce i criteri e le modalità di svolgimento delle attività di engagement con gli emittenti dei titoli presenti nei propri portafogli finanziari, in particolare tenendo in considerazione alcune tematiche, eventualmente declinate in temi di dettaglio sulla base dell'analisi di materialità svolta dalla SGR. La responsabilità dell'attuazione è demandata alla funzione Business Development/ESG. In particolare, nel corso del 2023 sono stati apportati i seguenti aggiornamenti riguardanti: la revisione della lista di tematiche/casistiche oggetto di engagement; la revisione della descrizione del processo di voto, per integrare la presenza di un advisor terzo specializzato che fornisce raccomandazioni di voto e indicazioni dei principali aspetti che caratterizzano la policy di voto della SGR. The Investment Committee periodically receives specific reports regarding the monitoring of ESG profiles. [...] The Companies have also established specific monitoring logics, and possible escalation, in the event of exposure to shares and bonds of issuers operating in Sensitive Sectors exceeding the thresholds established in the 'Guidelines for the Investment in Sensitive Sectors'.

To ensure a consistent risk management, the company integrates in its own processes a systematic evaluation of all economic, social and environmental factors that can impact people, hence the company's business in the long run. To this end, the Risk Office holds the responsibility to identify, analyse and evaluate all signs indicating a trend of change, and that are to be found in social, technological, environmental and social factors. The "Products – ESG Evaluation Committee" is in charge for examining and evaluating periodically all criteria used for ESG profiles definition and the Company's product catalogue. All this activity is based on research, scientific papers that are developed outside the Company as well as stakeholder engagement activities that are carried out by the Company and generally by the Poste Italiane Group. The topics that are under monitoring are socio-demographic evolutions (i.e. population's aging process), macroeconomic scenarios (i.e. financial crises, technological innovation), environmental challenges (i.e. climate change, environmental disasters, natural resource management) and on the non-financial regulatory evolution. The highest impact risks, as shown by analyses and the Risk Office's activities, are added to a risks map that is periodically revised by the Insurance Product – ESG evaluation Committee for two main purposes. Firstly, to ensure an adequate mitigation of all possible threats, and secondly to identify new business opportunities that can lead to sustainable insurance products.

Poste Italiane has in fact set numerous ambitious environmental targets among which the objective of reaching carbon neutrality by 2030, supporting in this way the Paris Agreement targets of limiting global warming to 1.5°C. To achieve said goal, as well as to design and adopt models, policies and strategies that can mitigate climate change and prevent inefficient consumption of resources, Poste Italiane is continually engaging in dialogue and cooperation with both national and international entities and associations that promote values and actions that are consistent with the Group's overall climate change strategy and related objectives. Within this context, Poste Italiane is offering a significant contribution, by making environmental protection and the fight to climate change one of the foundations of its own sustainability strategy, as described in the strategic plan "2024 Sustain&Innovate Plus†.
