Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]While participating in any types of engagement with climate change related issues, members of the General Manager's Office or the FPCC Sustainable Development Promotion Working Group (FPCC SDPWG) would be appointed as FPCC representatives. The opinions of the appointed representatives on climate change related issues shall be submitted to and approved by the head of relevant business divisions for strategic consistency checks prior to the participation of direct or indirect activities that influence policy. The appointment process of FPCC's representative in policy engagement is based on the fact that members of General Manager's Office or the FPCC SDPWG have been conducting in-depth research on climate change related issues on regular basis and have been participating in the FPCC's strategy development process to be able to provide context and suitable solutions to be consistent with FPCC's overall climate change strategies.
Climate change related strategies are discussed during the board-level energy conservation and emission reduction meetings held quarterly to ensure our strategies are consistent with FPCC's sustainable development. It is the General Manager's duty to announce FPCC's climate change strategies to the corporate management team. At the same time these strategies are posted on billboards, internal employee platform and on corporate websites so all employees of all plants and stakeholders are well aware of. While the public policy is inconsistent with our climate change strategies, FPCC will continue to communicate with the government through Department of Public Affairs or trade associations to amend or negotiate the policy contents to ensure FPCC's rights and interest.
