In October 2021, we established the "Materiality Council,† chaired by the CEO, to establish a system to instruct business divisions to take necessary measures and promotion business activities aimed at realizing our materiality targets.
In addition, we have issued a carbon neutral declaration and are advancing various initiatives aimed at achieving its goals. In this context, we have collaborated with industry associations, including participating in initiatives such as Keidanren (the Japan Business Federation)'s "Challenge Zero" (Challenge Net Zero Carbon Innovation) to realize a "carbon-free society" based on the long-term goals of the Paris Agreement.

Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your external engagement activities are consistent with your climate commitments and/or climate transition plan?[…]当社は「脱炭素社会に向けたエネルギー課題の解決」をマテリアリティとして特定しています。2021年10月より社長を議長とする「マテリアリティ推進会議」を新設し、事業部門へ必要な対応を指示する体制を構築し、マテリアリティの目標実現に向けた事業活動を推進しています。また、2021年にカーボンニュートラル宣言をし、目標に向けた各種取り組みを進めており、そうした動きの中で経団連の「チャレンジ・ゼロ」(チャレンジ ネット・ゼロカーボン イノベーション)のような、パリ協定の長期目標に基づく「脱炭素社会」の実現に向けたイニシアティブに参加する等、業界団体と連携しています。
