Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]Through the activities of the Japan Climate Initiative (JCI), the Japan Climate Leaders' Partnership (JCLP), and the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), Mitsui Fudosan is making efforts to achieve its established goals of reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions for the entire Group by 46.2% by fiscal 2030 compared to fiscal 2019, and reducing emissions to net zero (which matches the target of the 1.5℃ scenario) by fiscal 2050. We participate in each organization and, on behalf of the real estate industry, proactively speak about current issues, the policies that the industry as well as Japan must undertake to reduce greenhouse gases, and about the way forward.
