He is also in charge of Vicat's Climate Strategy. This dual responsibility guarantees a shared approach to multiple climate engagement activities across business divisions and geographies, which is consistent with Vicat's strategy on climate change.
The Deputy CEO and Group Strategy Director is a Board member of CEMBUREAU (European Cement Association).
To make sure that our representatives in various associations are aligned with Vicat positions, the Deputy CEO and Climate Strategy Director is responsible for notifying the relevant representatives on the Group's Climate Strategy. In his position, he works and liaise on a daily basis with all relevant departments at the Group and country levels to develop the strategy. These departments include: Purchasing, Strategy, Energy, Industrial Performance, Scientific, Performance and Investments. To maintain consistency of political positioning and uphold commitments to Vicat's climate and business strategy, the Deputy CEO and Climate Strategy Director directly reports to the Chairman and CEO.
