Score 3 - Strong
Full assessment

Icade has established a formal governance process for climate-related policy engagement, with "a sub-set of the Board" - the Innovation and CSR Committee - "which reports to the Board of Directors" tasked with ensuring "the coherence of our climate strategy, energy transition, and ensures that our direct and indirect activities influencing policies are consistent with our overall climate change and business strategy." This oversight is complemented by risk mapping managed by the Audit, Risk Management and Internal Control Department, addressing "influence practices" and requiring "transparency on financing of lobbying, sponsorship and philanthropy" alongside associated "control measures," thereby supervising all policy-influencing activities. Icade also affirms a "public commitment ... in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement," reflecting clear processes for monitoring and aligning both direct and indirect lobbying. We found no evidence of a publicly available in-depth audit or third-party review explicitly evaluating climate-lobbying alignment.

This assessment is part of the Lobbying Governance Index, covering 8,500 companies scored on whether they have processes to oversee their climate lobbying. See all companies in Europe or all companies in France.
